This sale is happening right here in Central Phoenix area, and we must admit that this is the biggest sale we've ever done or prepared. The collections in this home consists of close to a 100 years picking and treasuring every piece by this lovely couple and adding it to their home. Even though this house may appear to an untrained eye, as a hoarder home - what it really is - an exquisite and absolutely breathtaking accumulation of different category collectibles - mostly from Midcentury era, but also some 1940s, 1960s and 1970s. We have everything a vintage picker could be interested in - both men and women! Collectible glass and crystal, antique porcelain, roosters of all kinds, signed midcentury Native pottery, as well as Jemez and Pueblo pottery, horse hair baskets, multiple storytellers, Burl furniture and accent pieces, Murano glass in all shape and form, as well as Kosta Boda, and a huge collection of glass and crystal oil lamps, rattlesnakes of all kinds, vintage firearms, hundreds of vintage pipes - many from England and Denmark, Metlox pottery, multiple collectible pottery planters, mugs, midcentury brutalist pieces by Jere and Demott, thousands of hand tools, gardening tools, and hundreds of power tools, geode collection and semi precious rocks, many vintage and antique (1910-1960) license plates, a room full of dolls and another one filled with vintage quilts, perfume bottles, and costume jewelry... There is also a great selection of antiques and other very dashing, sophisticated furniture pieces, such as the pair of ostentatious showcases/curio multi-shelf bow cases with mahogany finish and beveled glass shelves. There are also other curio cabinets in the household - in different sizes, almost all with custom lighting as well and dimmers, and most with either walnut or mahogany finish.
As you walk in through the front door, you may expect to see the mentioned showcases filled with amazing pieces, such as Midcentury murano figures, Blanco mushrooms, onyx fruit and vegetable carvings, Midcentury Danish Teak figures, ,Willow Tree figures, Murano pear and apple bookends, Murano vases, Swarovski figurines, Sevi vintage handmade Italian egg cups, Bullicante Art Glass, handblown vintage animals, paperweights, Lomonosov Porcelain figures and a teacup, Shafford Porcelain Siamese cats, Bertil Vallien for Kosta Boda Brains series glass face, Ormond Alfred Meaking porcelain, Lefton and Napco lady head shaped midcentury bud vases, Pewter and Cast Iron figurines, door stoppers, and so much more!
The front room will also showcase some of the larger Native American dolls and statues, with a lot of folk accents, folk dolls, and decor, as well as several needlepoint pictures, and a burl 1970s clock with Turquoise Stones. This room is also a home to multiple vintage and antique porcelain teacups, an antique tureen, depression glass and vintage pressed glass compote dishes and platters, plus a very rare Blakely Arizona Oil and Gas pitcher with cactus type tumblers and original tray - we also have additional quantity of 6 described tumblers, priced separately from the complete set.
The room adjacent to this front room is the kitchen and hallways where you will be able to find the very collectable Jim Shore sculptures/figures, pyrex mixing bowl sets in different colors, including the vintage pastel set, Corning Ware, like new Dansk enamel vintage pots, a great selection of roosters, Rooster decor, plates, collectible glassware, including midcentury Libbey wheat pattern glasses, and more!
The following room highlights the Burl wood furniture with mutliple side and accent tables, as well as Native American pottery - such as multiple different signed storytellers - from miniature ones, to medium size statues. There are also several Native pots signed by makers, including Navajo and Hopi, and mentioned Jemez, and Acoma pottery pieces, some more than vintage inclding Laguna Pueblo pots. We do have few antique pieces too - unfortunately in pieces, and incomplete but representing the origins of Native pottery from mid-late 1800s or earlier. This room also features part of the vinyl record collection - with at least 700-1000 vinyls present. Many of them are Country Western, but we do have some Rock, Blues and Classical selection too, as well as soundtrack music from 1960-1980 era, and some box sets. We probably have every Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson album ever released and the collection is huge, and continues onto other rooms. We'll aslo have several hundred of cds for sale - again mostly Country western, with some rock, box sets, and classical here and there... With that said the electronic vintage tower consists of 2 oversized technics 1970s speakers, and multiple receivers, tuners, amplifiers, and a great condition vinyl player. As you walk from room to room - please make sure to appreciate all the beautiful Tiffany inspired lamps, as there are tons of them in different sizes, designs and shapes!
Now, the nicer tools may be seen in just the next room adjacent to the Native room - an we have like New Hilti drills of all sizes and models - probably close to 30 different Hilti power tools. Hitachi, Makita, Ryobi and Skil concrete or woodworking heavy duty power tools with cases and some used, some like new are here too! This room also features the enormous Boyds bear collection plus accessories, and Golden signed by Anthony Freeman collection of animals in all sizes - some very rare! We'll have some cool trinkets in here too, some Harmony Kingdom items, Italian pottery, midcentury dog sculptures in different designs, more pottery, italian baskets, antique clocks, and decorative antique bicycles, antique doll chairs and accessories, grandfather clock and so much more!
Now - the following room is a Sun room! There will be some power tools to be found here, by Husky, Hilti, Skil, Makita, Ryobi, Black & Decker Professional, Macho, Craftsman and other brands, along with hand tool sets, license plates, boxes and boxes of vinyl records, and antique car lanterns/lamps - all in great condition, few different colors.
When you walk out to the backyard - you may have a hard time to come back in - there is soo much cool stuff here! From decor, to pottery, plants and pots, to cool and collectible metal art, or midcentury brutalist pieces - and geodes, petrified wood - oh yes we even have primitive hundreds of years old large rocks here! We also will present couple different like new Patio furniture sets for sale as well, all definitely priced to sell! Please note that many of the extremely valuable patio items have been moved inside or into cases by the front register.
The tools we could really talk for hours about. The brands - are everywhere. We do even have some Snap on and Mac Tools and few sets. We have a load of different Vintage Craftsman sets - many brand new in package from 80s 90s or later. We also have hundreds of different brand rotary hammer drills - Milwaukee, Hilti, Ryobi, Skil, Makita, Hitachi among others... We have more than 35 different power saws for sale - as well as some saw tables, routers, tons of grinders - some new in box, hand tools by the thousands, vintage Ridgid, some Mac and other brand oversized pipe wrenches, tons of socket sets, saw blades, vintage tool boxes, vintage sets of drill and concrete bits, Hilti bits, Milwaukee bits in boxes, ratchet sets, torque wrenches, vintage Stanley No 150 saw cast iron stand, among other vintage tools, extreme collection of vintage oil cans, and so much more!
The patio decor consists of tons of chimes, Soleri bells, different bells, metal and cast artwork basically present everywhere, as well as plenty of metal or cast lizards, and all type of different rattlesnakes! There are some cool vintage pieces, but newer ones too - we'll also be selling a hand painted concrete bench, multiple statues, different Kokopelli art, Native scultpures, metal flowers, and tons of stained glass and chimes big and small... There are also hundreds of concrete, cement, resin and clay animals, figurines for sale here - all ready to be welcomed in your cute backyard!
Even the doll room and quilt room in this home is quite exciting and filled with hundreds of amazing vintage items and clothing such as like new Bob Mackie Artwear clothing, brand new Bob Mackie Scarfs with boxes, designer sunglasses, tons of perfume bottles, lifesize 1950-1960s dolls, Willie Talk Ventriloquist doll, Bisque vintage and antique dolls, Native American dolls, Kewpies, doll clothing, vintage Christening outfits, designer doll, bear and children outfits and dresses from Midcentury era, Suede and Leather jackets, tons of different Stained glass items, Needlepoint and Crochet-stitched art of all kinds, DeGrazia needlepoint and original art, Birkin shoes, gold filled vintage eyewear, WWII National Ration book with stamps, antique and vintage photos & albums - all framed, vintage and antique quilts, among other linens, such as embroidered kitchen towle, embroidered tablecloths, and tons of embroidered pillowcases. There are so many crocheted vintage blankets, and handmade quilts - we had to even put them in the hallway closet! It is simply overwhelming... Those rooms will also feature some of the prettiest hurricane shape vintage lamps, Fenton lamps and midcentury chandeliers/hanging lamps with brass chains. The selection of some Knickerbocker bears along with few vintage bears, Boyds of cours, and even couple steiff mini bears and collectible Ty Babies is there too!
Even the Christmas and other holidays decor selection is some-what midcentury, including some rare Japanese Santa mugs, pitchers, rare Fenton pieces, such as tiny Noel angel pair, or winking Santa... 1940s through 1990s Christmas Collectibles - we have it! Some ornaments such as Lenox and LeMein are still in boxes - very much like new.
We could truly talk or describe this sale for hours and add more each time - but you simply have to see and experience it yourself! It will happen this weekend for four days, although we are considering a second weekend as well, as we have not accessed 100% of items in this house yet.. Again - this may be a smaller house than you're used to but the items could easily fill top to bottom of an 8,000 sq ft Paradise Valley Home... And we mean FILL IT - top to bottom! That's how large and high quality collections and items there are here - thousands of them! We'd like to ask you to be kind to one another when shopping as we will NOT tolerate fights.
