Ralph W. Elsner was one the first Motorola executives West of the Mississippi and the first Vice President of the Government Electronics Division in Scottsdale. He and the Motorola community which he lead, were instrumental in the establishment of the "Lifestyle" of the 50's, and especially that of Scottsdale.  Quite a pioneer in the electronics division, friend to Barry Goldwater, acquaintance and possessor of a working relationship with Gerald Ford, and guest Executive at NASA for the launch of Apollo 11.
