Twas the sale before Christmas
when all through the house
Everyone was stirring
Even the mouse
Items were placed
On the tables with care
In hopes that shoppers
Soon would be there
No one was nestled
All snug in their beds
With visions of big sales
Dancing in our heads
Wish I had my kerchief
And Brad had his cap
And we could settle down
For a well deserved nap
BUT
We’ve got tables to set up
And covers to place
Some will be red
Some made of lace
Sorting unpacking
And pricing things too
We need more hours
Seems there are few
Look at the tables
Chairs and stools
We have a wine cooler
And maybe some spools
There’s a huge fluffy chair
An overstuffed love seat
Chair comes with an ottoman
You’ll love it – it’s neat
Department 56 village pieces
Probably most of them Dickens
Every piece is amazing
Come early – to get the best pickens
There are tools galore
Both hand and power
Router and vise
No there’s no tower
Patio set and barbeque grill
Shovels and rakes a new digger bar too
There’s a lot to choose from
Not just a few
So come on in
Join in the chatter
Bring joy and peace
Those things really matter
