Community Estate Sales highly recommends that all packaging and shipping is handled by our in-house shipping team.
Upon receipt of your Live Auctioneers invoice, we strongly recommend that you opt for SELF-ARRANGED SHIPPING or PICKUP to avoid being automatically billed at the standardized LiveShip rate.
The cost to ship is not included in the price of your auction items.
Community Estate Sales provides Shipping at the least possible cost to the buyer.
Cost includes what we pay for materials and what the shipper charges us.
Winning bidders are responsible for all costs to ship the items, including insurance for the value of the shipment.
When payment for items is made, items will be packed in the order payment is received.
When the total invoice is paid, Community Estate Sales will ship items to the buyer at the listed address. UPS or USPS will be used on all shipments (hammer price) unless requested by buyer.
If a box is valued at $5,000 or more, we require Signature Required.
You are responsible for all additional shipping costs if your box is returned due to an incorrect shipping address or if UPS returns the box(es) for lack of response from buyer. Auctioneer must be informed if buyer is shipping to a UPS Store or Service Center. Community Estate Sales can can ship to international buyers; however, in accordance with the law, CESL will declare the package value at hammer price and cannot declare lesser values for any international shipments. International bidders are responsible for knowing their country’s laws on import, customs, and duties. All duties and tariffs are the responsibility of the buyer.
In case of damage to your shipment, please save all materials and take photos of the damage and all sides of the box(es). Please note that USPS refunds for hammer price only, plus actual shipping cost (not materials). If shipped with UPS, the refund may include BP. No refunds will be made for materials, taxes, or processing fees paid to LiveAuctioneers. We may not be able to make claims on packages that are misdelivered or stolen, regardless of shipper.
We require 30 days (from the date we are notified that a shipment is missing) to research and investigate. We provide tracking information so the buyer can track their parcels each step of the way. Please consider requesting “signature required?? (for an additional fee) or use an alternative safe address.
