Dear Friends, Save the date for Catherine's Estates 3- day sale on TEN acres featuring a sprawling ranch house, a casita, & a big blue barn!  Dec.1-3 from 8am-4pm on Wrightstown Road and Pantano. Look for signs or check the paper and web on the day of the sale for address. The estate features items from a renowned surgeon and his wife, a former American Airlines stewardess from the swinging 70s. Their global travels have resulted in an extraordinary collection.  Upon arrival at the spacious front porch of the main home you’ll find two rustic wood dining tables and colorful Mexican painted chairs.  Come inside and hang your hat on an antique oak hat rack and see other unique antiques such as a marble-topped marquetry bombe cabinet, bound Harper’s Weekly journals from 1863 & 1869, a vintage 40s wood American Airlines sign, a barrister bookcase, & a handsome pair of antique brass dragon andirons. So far so eclectic, but there is a major theme here and it is shown in the significant collection of Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts pieces. Choose from ceramics, lithographs, metal art, books, bronzes, and more. We have Roycroft copper and brass with inlaid sterling, hammered copper and brass vases, platters, Mostique ceramic pieces, Van Briggle vases, Dannhauer Swiss brass, bronze mermaids and pelicans, a fine majolica jardinière & pedestal base. Book and illustration lovers, we have a signed 1st edition The Loves of Edwy with a personal dedication by Rose O’Neill. We feature a beautiful of early illustration art from Maxfield Parrish, Paul Chabas, & Angelo Jank. Furniture ranges from fine to shabby chic. Don’t overlook a Henredon chair or sofa that may need reupholstering, the bones are good and they are priced to go!   The spacious living room offers leather La-Z-boy reclining sofa and 3 small Baker sofa chests. The 4200 sq ft. house and its collections have been organized into themed rooms:  The African mask room, the Western room (yes, cowboys, branding irons, Native American, Mata Ortiz) the Camera room, the Basket room, and the exercise room, which includes fixed weights, free weights, and a Pilates machine. The Christmas room even features a vintage upright player piano. We’ve got Asian art from Qing to bling. Speaking of bling, check out our jewelry table that features a 1.5 carat total weight diamond engagement ring. We have 25 vintage manganese glass kerosene lamps in varying shades of purple. They’re handy, because power outages happen. Further illumination is to be found with like-new chandeliers, pendant lights, a new in the box ceiling fan light, and a vintage wrought iron chandeliers.  Artwork includes Picasso’s artist proof lithograph The Dwarf Dancer, original works by Anthony Klitz, Lawrence Lee, Mark Daniels, David Solie, and a Chinese cork wall carving. Art goes beyond the walls; we have a Remington bronze and a Buffalo Soldier statue. 1976 is a big year here, we have a 1976 Mendocino Whale War poster by Mayhew and a 1976 Cleveland Indians baseball signed by all the usual suspects. Textile art includes a Yei blanket, a Navajo blanket, antique quilts, vintage lace & linens. Dealers, come for the hunt and buy in bulk! Most items are priced,  but ask about unmarked gems. There’s a LG smart large load electric washer/dryer, dinette sets, contemporary executive desk, king & twin beds, and more.  We have a wealth of porcelain, dishware, Waterford, cobalt & glass indulgences of all types. The counters are filled with kitchenalia and small appliances. The 3-car garage is loaded with tools, books, electronics, etc. The goodness extends outdoors with garden furniture, patio sets,  plants, work tables, Craftsman storage chests, filing cabinets, tack, salt licks, feeders, seeders, composting bins, pet carriers, and multiple storage bins of all sizes. CATHERINE'S GOT YOUR GOAT! Vincent Van Goat to be precise. Known as Vince to all who love him. He is a 5 yr. old Nubian male with a lusty disposition that makes him good for sire.  An assortment of construction materials, bricks, roofing tile, fencing, concrete planters, dried mesquite firewood, two pasture gates, and a tired trailer will help you with your home improvement projects.  Equestrians, there is a super deal on a 100’ horse exercise pen to work your ponies. Pack it up haul it away. This just in, the property has fallen out of escrow so it could be available too! Plan for multiple visits; this is an ambitious undertaking.
