Mid Century Asian motif furniture & furnishings
traditional '60s garden Buddhas and Japanese
stone lanterns in a classic old Beverly Hills
setting just off Benedict Cyn. Property is part of the former
estate of Buster Keaton, purchased by actor James
Mason and his wife Pamela, and sold to the
current, but now-deceased owners in 1955. This time capsule
contains original vintage items including oversized enameled
Asian ceramic lamps, spectacular hardstone mid-century Japanese
screen, Baker dining table with three leaves, mid century case goods,
original/reproduction art by Magritte, Sisley, etc.; whimsical
collectibles from the hey day of great Las Vegas
hotel strongholds such as Aladdin, Caesar's Palace plus travel
ephemera. There's a large collection of 1930s rose quartz sculptures
including a Guan Yin lamp, Asian ceramic urns, exquisite glassware,
china dinnerware, porcelain figurines, vases, antique embroideries, bowls
and platters plus vintage silver plate trays, accessory
items and funky and comical collectibles. One room
is devoted to vintage linens and clothes, shoes,
accessories, including an authentic vintage designer Gucci bag,
authentic Hermes and Sulka ties, Judith Leiber bag, vintage alligator bag
and contemporary designer replica bags. There's loads of vintage jewelry,
including sterling and several pieces by Kenneth Jay Lane and
