Estate of "Ewing Mitchell", most famous for his role of “Mitch” (“Sheriff Hargrove”) in the "Sky King" series, and also as “Sheriff Powers” in the 1955 Western series "The Adventures of Champion". He was also one of California's Silver Riders, expert equestrians who appeared in parades throughout the Southwest. In addition, Mitchell's Father was "Walter Mitchell", an Episcopal Bishop, who went to Sewanee University in the late 1800s, early 1900's.
Sale includes lots of antique mahogany furniture, dining room set, carved Chinese trunk, tables, beds, sofas, lamps, chairs, and more! Lots of interesting collectibles, vintage Western items including a "2 die 4" sequin covered suit by "Nathan Turk", vintage chaps, some vintage clothing, sterling communion set (belonged to Walter, 5 pieces), 1864 Civil War era coin silver "American Watch Co" pocket watch (runs, but missing one hand), costume jewelry (95% newer inexpensive stuff), vintage artwork/paintings, TONS of vintage and antique books (some sets), dishes, glassware, a beautiful set of hand blown wine glasses that are etched "Mitchell" (if your last name is Mitchell, you want these!), a few pieces of early Sewanee University of the South memorabilia, kitchen stuff, lots of silverplate, stoneware crocks, old trunks, vases, cool vintage shuffleboard game table, yard furniture, old wood swings, yard pots and stuff, vintage upright piano, side by side white Kenmore fridge, table saw, the largest chain saw, PACKED garage, and so much more!
