ALREADY!! A packed home in Cypress. When I say packed, dare I say the "H" word...?
Dolls, Jewelry, Sewing heaven, Holiday, Asian, crafting and all manor of interesting kitsch and collectibles!
We'll start with furniture, as always. Retro mid-century cabinet, Oak Secretary, Solid wood table with 4 chairs and fold out flaps for expansion. Several different light fixture styles around the house, including hanging lamps, floor lamps and table lamps. A bunch of display cabinets (did I say dolls?) that are great for those of you who need store displays. Wooden 70's bedroom furniture and a gorgeous Oak highboy dresser! A 70s bedroom set that has bed frame which doubles as a display cabinet and 2 nightstands. Another 70's mirrored dresser and tall dresser/chest. Computer desk, beautiful painted cabinet, china hutch, side tables and more stuff I have forgotten!
The living room. This home has basically been turned into a doll home and I have turned it in to a doll store. Copious amounts of dolls. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say 1000-1500 dolls of various ages and vintage, throughout the house. This lovely lady was a member of doll clubs, went to conventions and made competition clothing for them. 1930s-modern. I'm giving it my best shot to try to remember the types I have seen, so far. Vogue, Franklin and Danbury Mint, Ginny, Madame Alexander(so many!! And so many different decades). Gene Dolls (tons-maybe one of the largest collections around), Barbies, old and new, in and out of the boxes. Raggedy Ann and Andy. Storybook dolls, Patsy, Crissy and Velvet. American Girl-dolls, accessories and furniture. Character dolls, vinyl and composition, bisque, plastic and rubber. A variety of doll clothes and accesories(did I say that?) Haven't looked at all of it but getting there.
Kitchen is full of the usual suspects. Corelle, Pyrex. There is every day glassware and stemware, a couple of partial sets of dinnerware/china and a very special set of Dragon china/dinnerware. Cookware and appliances and gadgets to make things easier. 2 perfectly functioning, fridges. One newer and one older but both functioning and cheap! Bakeware, pots and pans and more. So much stuff!
The art is a mix. Both paintings and prints. I admit I haven't been through the art yet as it was taken down and stacked before my people hung it all back up.
There is a huge selection of books!! Books both fiction and non-fiction and loads of craft and project books! There are tons of cookbooks! There are crazy amounts of magazines-Largely Crafting dating back to the 70s-maybe earlier.
Linens, household items, and, misc household related stuff. Lots of houshold and cleaning products. A selection of Women's clothing and shoes, belts and accessories. Some very vintage and some VERY cool stuff! Men's and women's but mostly ladies. We still have not gotten to all of it-we're trying to hang it all. There is so many retro, clothing items a bunch of extra special, hand-crafted knitted and crocheted items. Which brings me to the crafting and sewing.
There is literally HUNDREDS of pieces of fabric and all a standard/one price. Sewing notions, trim, buttons and everything. There are sooooo many embroidery kits and notions. AND YARN! We have stuffed bags full of every type of yarn-again a standard price and so many we had to figure out where to house them all! There is a fabulous, almost unused Brother machine and another sewing machine.
A selection of vintage toys and including a HUGE collection of stuffed animals including Steiff and other better brands. Hundreds of-you guessed it- Beanie Babies. In displays and out. An electronic keyboard and other vintage electronics. There is also many snappy vanity items.
YES, there is jewelry-quite a bit! Costume jewelry, sterling and some better, finer pieces! I have been through part of it and the largest portion is going in my famous $3- crate. There are over 300 pieces in the crate. I know by how many baggies I've used! The rest is fine to fun. Pieces both vintage and modern. Still working at these but again, GREAT costume and fine pieces gold and silver. Pretty excited(again) about this-both the costume and other. (No valuables kept on premises at any time.)
The office not only holds the American Girls and Madeline but also a massive selection of crafting items. Hundreds of stickers, rubber stamps, fancy paper and so much more
Then there is the garage. There is Christmas- both modern and vintage. Some-Halloween and Easter! We're trying to go through the garage but it's a challenge! We're housing the multitudes of fabric here because "where else"? Also had to put some of the doll furniture here. At some point the garage was a crafting area. Wood tole painting items Her passion being dolls, there are giant tubs of doll making supplies. Plastic dolls, doll parts, doll molds for bisque dolls and so much more. There are tools and a couple of tool chests and regular garage stuff. We haven’t yet gotten to everything yet but plan to be done by Friday.
Then there is the backyard. Pots, garden decor, vintage and other gardening tools, All the stuff we can't fit in the house had to go somewhere! Stuff here for resellers and collectors alike and I'm not kidding!! (Still) Not done setting up but this is a taste of what to expect!
Cash Only. Bring Help to Load large Items. Sign-up sheet will be available at 3:00pm Thursday. Be considerate of our neighbors and don't park in or in front of driveways!! We are not responsible for accidents! I will add the pictures here on Tuesday evening (when we are done setting up). We will go half-price on Saturday. I still have not gone through every single thing but I believe there is some interesting things-something for most!!! Hope to see you there!
Sincerely, Jewel
