Mariette's Exquisitaria Estate Sale reflects 2 generations who lived life to the fullest.

Mariette's father was a fencer who trained US Olympic teams through the 20's, 30's, 40's and 50's and traveled extensively, settling in Encinitas, California with a wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean.

Mariette moved from Belgium to the US in her teens as WWII broke out. She settled with her parents in NYC where her parents ran the New York Fencers Club. Mariette began a creative career that included opera singer, dancer, fashion designer, and early TV producer as she dressed and primped the gorgeous Revlon models for the live TV show "The 64 Thousand Dollar Question". She then worked in advertising and design for movies. In the photos here, you can see her with Mariclare Costello and Kevin O'Connor in the costumes she designed for "Let's Scare Jessica to Death". She also worked with Faye Dunaway and Paul Newman.

When she retired she moved to her parents home in Encinitas and continued to embellish it with wonders, mostly reflecting her European roots. She created a showplace garden and loved nature and animals and was a delight to be with throughout her life.  She had exquisite taste and the sale reflects it.

The sale presents a treasure trove of antique furniture, silver, china, books, ephemera, and linens.
