Melrose Treasures Estate Sales
Description & Details
Update; Due to the size of this estate, we are happy to add a third day to the sale.
This 3500 plus sqft house was purchased in 1965 by an ambitious family man who served in WW2 and opened his own pharmacy in the 1950s where his youngest son now 58, had his first job. There are plenty of vintage pharmacy business pride items from t-shirts to Lladro statue's, cufflinks, advertisements and early medications or remedies, scales for measuring meds, etc....
This pharmacy sold everything including toy's, so there are tons of scarce items never opened in their original boxes that were stored in large closets which themselves weren't opened for decades. In addition, this Mom and pop were world travelers and collected and bought gifts for everyone, I mean everyone! Many of these gifts were wrapped and not forwarded to the prospected recipients. Tons and tons of 50's 60s and 70s NOS!
Sterling silver items, paintings, decorative arts, vintage Pharmacy items, Cameras, some coins, vintage clothing, a small ancient artifact collection, furniture, Coca cola, Dolls, flatware sets etc... Way Way too much to much to list, the amount of New Old Stock items in this estate is overwhelming! Incredible vintage toys from the 50s, 60s and 70s, The reason why all of this stuff is unused is because it came from the family's pharmacy when they closed in the 70s. We are also finding incredible vintage clothing like a rare Surfriders Hawaiian shirt from the late 50s, early 60s (never worn). We are finding tons of souvenir spoons from their world travels. Lots of nos Hawaiian collectibles, new in boxes. This is just from one day of prep.
Absolutely beautiful wedding dress from 1946, almost as beautiful as the lady modeling it in the picture I took!
