Terms
Buyer's Premium: The 'purchase price' is the sum of the final bid (hammer price) plus the buyer's premium and applicable sales tax, unless the buyer is exempt by law from such taxes. The buyer's premium per lot is 25% on the first $500,000; 18% on the amount between $500,001 and $2,000,000; 12% on any amount above $2,000,000. Bidders using online bidding platforms will be subject to an additional 5% premium.
Payment: Payment must be received by Andrew Jones Auctions
within three business days following the auction. We accept cash, bank wire transfers, checks and credit cards. All payments made by personal check will be subject to clearance before purchases can be collected. Buyers who have not purchased from Andrew Jones Auctions previously will be asked to provide photo identification, method of payment and/or financial references prior to the auction. Buyers outside of the United States must submit payment via wire transfer.
Shipping Terms: Andrew Jones Auctions does not have in-house shipping services; however, we can provide you with information on third-party shippers for you to contact directly. Andrew Jones Auctions is not responsible for the services provided by third-party shippers.
Condition: All property is sold AS-IS. Andrew Jones Auctions, its agents, employees and the consignor, make no warranty or guarantee of title, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, or other warranty or representation regarding the description, authenticity, attribution, period, culture, source, origin, provenance, age, size or condition.
Condition reports are offered as a courtesy to our clients and are a statement of opinion and should not be treated as a statement of fact. Andrew Jones Auctions is not responsible for any error or omission. The absence of a condition report on an item does not imply the lot is in perfect condition or free from typical wear or effects commensurate with age. Buyers are responsible for determining to their own satisfaction the condition of any lot prior to bidding.
We are thrilled to announce our first DTLA: Collections and Estates Auction on Sunday October 21 at 10:30am in our Downtown Los Angeles gallery. The public preview will be open 10am-5pm Thursday, October 18 - Saturday, October 20, 2018. Viewing the day of sale will begin at 9:00am.
This is our venue for everyone to discover different, fun, quirky and out-of-the-ordinary accessories and furnishings, as well as antiques and luxe décor for the home, garden, loft, gallery or retail space - all at reasonable prices. We are delighted to bring an established and new market such a varied collection of affordable works of art from the exotic to the whimsical and everything in between and are committed to promoting antiques and vintage décor as the sustainable way to decorate in the 21st century. The DTLA Collections & Estates Auctions will offer something for everyone. Join us for the fun!

Lot estimates will range from $50 to $2,000. Highlight lots will include a pair of monumental marble veneered obelisks on pedestals (est. $1,000-$1,500); a suite of Baccarat Harmonie pattern double old-fashioned tumblers (est. $200-$300); a pair of Chinese cloisonné enamel duck form censers (est. $200-$300); and a group of six very colorful Murano glass lamps (est. $500-$800).
Also sold will be a Squire Stratocaster electric guitar (est. $100-$200); four Louis Philippe-style side chairs (est. $300-$500); a large suite of Michael Taylor ‘Montecito’ garden furniture (est. $1,000-$1,500); an Ammonite sculpture from the Paleozoic era (est. $200-$300); and a German Expressionist painting of factory workers by Toni Anton Wolter (1879-1929, est. $400-$600).
Still more featured lots will include a pair of Ralph Lauren leather upholstered ‘Writer’s’ club chairs (est. $500-$700); and three elephant-form occasional tables (est. $100-$200 each).
After the DTLA sale, Andrew Jones Auctions will conduct a Design for the Home & Garden Auction on Sunday, November 18th, also online and in the Los Angeles gallery. Featured will be the David and Barbara Hart collection of world art. International travelers and cultural explorers for decades, the Harts thoughtfully curated a range of unusual objects, accents, art and textiles from Mexico to the Philippines. Best of all, the entire collection will be offered without reserve.
