This is the estate of a very prominent old time antique appraiser, dealer and collector of fine Americana going back to the late 1600's. She passed away around 15 year ago and her husband recently. The gentleman was a physicist & inventor and there is a large collection of his books & electronics however the sale mainly consists of Joans favorite, coveted items. The daughter worked with the Grateful Dead and there is a very large collection of vintage clothing & vintage jewelry of hers as well.
I have never seen such a fine collection all under one roof.
Outstanding collection of 18th c. American portrait paintings...several signed & authenticated.the last two posted were authenticated by George R. Brooks of the Missouri Historical Society in 1973 to be by George Markham. 30"x24" each.

Antique Sheraton mahogany & satinwood banded signed & hand painted tall case clock, Hepplewhite sideboard, many mirrors including Georgian and many sets of period chairs. Also Attributed Ammi Phillips 18th century painted portrait as well as a signed Belknap one and others.
