The auction is led by California artists Arthur Mathews, Edgar Payne, Armin Carl Hansen, William Wendt, Granville Redmond, John Marshall Gamble and Jessie Arms Botke, and features American works by Howard Pyle, Frederick Waugh, William Louis Sonntag Sr., Joseph Raphael, William H. Singer Jr. and Henry Gasser. Fine selections of etching, some very rare, by Armin Carl Hansen and James McNeill Whistler round out the offerings.
