Estate sale of the prodigious and sprawling mansion of prominent collector and philanthropist Jim Houston will be held July 19-21. The entire contents of this 11,000 square foot home.
This home comprises Mr. Houston's residential contents and collections and will be sold over the three day event. An amazing collection will be offered of his Fine Art (List of Artists below), Mid Century, Chinese Modern and California Modern throughout. Originally from Vancouver there is an important collection of Pacific Northwest Coast Native Art including animal totems by important carvers from the Haida, Tlingit, Kwakwaka'wakw, Coast Salish tribes including, Tim Boyko, Junior Henderson, Francis Horne, Don Yoemans and Doug Zilkie
Other artists known for their bronze sculptures are Bill Reed and John Kennedy. Doug Hyde stone carvings.
