Description & Details

This weekend, we're honored to present a truly extraordinary collection, set inside a stunning mid-century home designed in 1956 by renowned architect William Blurock. Remarkably, this is one of only two private residences he ever designed.

The home is filled with beautiful discoveries—modern art, fine art photography, furniture, global décor, jewelry, fashion, and accessories—but the collection is best understood through the remarkable life of the man who assembled it.

A few glimpses into his story: He served in the U.S. Navy from 1958–1960 aboard the inaugural cruise of the USS Ranger, the legendary aircraft carrier later featured in Top Gun. He trekked through India with Sir Edmund Hillary, received a blessing from the Dalai Lama, summited Mount Kilimanjaro, and set foot on all seven continents.

His commitment to exploration and education continued long after his travels. He served on the boards of the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County and the African Wildlife Foundation, and was Treasurer and a Life Trustee of the Leakey Foundation.

That lifetime of curiosity is reflected in every room. Tribal art, primitive ceramics, global decorative arts, and an extraordinary library devoted to anthropology, archaeology, indigenous cultures, natural history, and exploration tell the story of a man who never stopped learning about the world.

Stepping into this home feels a bit like wandering into an Indiana Jones adventure—thoughtfully collected, endlessly fascinating, and filled with stories waiting to be discovered.

We can't wait to welcome you this weekend.
