If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, you must refrain from participating. These terms apply exclusively to verified, registered bidders and purchasers.
Sales
All items are sold “as is,” with no warranties, expressed or implied, and no refunds or exchanges for any reason. Bidders are strongly encouraged to preview items before placing bids to ensure they meet expectations. Items must be picked up during the scheduled pickup times and at the designated location. Failure to pick up items will result in them being considered abandoned, handled at the sole discretion of Placer Auctions, and no refunds or chargebacks will be granted.
Descriptions
Item descriptions are provided to the best of our ability, but all items are sold “As-Is Where-Is.” Descriptions and photographs are for reference only, and the absence of specific condition details does not imply items are in perfect condition. Most items are antique, vintage, or used and may show signs of wear. Buyers are responsible for bringing tools and assistance to move heavy or complex items.
Fees
A buyer’s premium of 18% will be added to all winning bids, along with 7.75% California sales tax unless a valid reseller’s sales tax exemption is provided before the auction’s conclusion.
Bidding
All bidders must register and be verified with Placer Auctions before participating. Once bids are placed, they cannot be retracted, revoked, or canceled. Winning bids must be honored, and buyers are required to complete the purchase of all items won.
Payments
Payments, including the buyer’s premium and applicable taxes, will be automatically charged to the card on file after the auction ends. Accepted payment methods include Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and Stripe. Invoices are generated after the auction ends and sent via email. If an invoice is not received, contact info@placerauctions.com to request a copy.
Pickup
All items must be picked up during scheduled pickup hours. A paid invoice and valid driver’s license are required for pickup. Items not picked up within the designated window will be considered abandoned and subject to relisting or disposal without a refund.
Shipping
Placer Auctions does not handle shipping directly but partners with local shipping centers. Buyers assume all risks for loss, damage, or theft once items leave our facility. Shipping arrangements are solely between the buyer and the shipping provider.
Failure to Honor Winning Bid

Failure to honor winning bids will result in loss of bidding privileges, which may include future auctions, and reinstatement is at Placer Auctions’ sole discretion. A non-refundable administrative fee of $100 will be charged to the bidder’s card on file to cover breach-related costs. Legal action may be pursued to recover damages resulting from failure to honor bids, including the winning bid amount, associated fees, and legal costs.
