Please enjoy this beautiful write up given to us by the family.

This is a unique situation with fantastic collections but without the knowledge of the man who gathered it all up with his family, it will leave you in the dark, so enjoy!

This bio was written and shared by the family.

The thousands of Items for purchase are from a home bought shortly after the end of WWII by our grandparents, hardworking Japanese-American citizens.   During WWII, the family was interned with others of Japanese descent at relocation camps by the federal government. Several years after returning back to Sacramento, our family purchased this home.  Our uncle, the last resident, continued to live in the home after the death of our grandparents.

Our uncle liked to buy things he used "in bulk".  He was a very generous person, who would "stock up" on items so he could share them with other members of the family.  We've found that many of the gifts he received from people over the years were never used, and were still "new" in the box.

Our uncle had many interests-he was very handy, and had an extensive tool collection.  He was an avid music fan, and had an extensive collection of records and CD's covering many musical genres.  In later years, he would watch at least one movie every day, so had a collection of DVDs ranging from old classic films and TV shows, to more recent ones.

Interspersed with these more recently acquired items are belongings from our grandparents, including steamer trunks-which held their most prized possessions in storage during WWII, a piece or two of furniture which we think our grandfather made while in the internment camps, hand-made duck decoys made pre-WWII, as well as well-loved furniture pieces and household items of our grandparents.

Lovingly penned by Denise and family
