Our neighbor, Taber Furniture Company, is GOING-OUT-OF-BUSINESS after being family owned/operated since 1934. Taber’s has offered exceptional antique, vintage and collectible estate sale furniture to its customer base for over three generations. You will now be able to find discounted prices on many amazing pieces of furniture, large and small; as well as collectible home decor items, including art work, brass, china, porcelain, and glass. Located at 1815/1817 Del Paso Boulevard, the store is considered a Sacramento-area landmark in Uptown Sacramento. An anchor store for the neighborhood, Richard Taber, Sr., opened Taber’s in 1934 and ran the business through WWII. His eldest son, Richard Taber, Jr., took over the store soon after the war and the family’s youngest son, Bob, joined his brother in the mid-1950s –turning Taber’s Furniture Company into a bona-fide family partnership. In 1998, store ownership and day-to-day operations were handed over to the junior Taber’s daughter, Dawn, and she and her husband Scott have worked together to keep the family name and business thriving since then. Taber’s Furniture Company will continue to be open Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 6pm, and on Saturday from 10am to 5pm, until further notice.
