This collection opens with Taisho period reprint woodblocks after Hiroshige and Yoshitoshi, presenting classic imagery revived for early 20th century audiences. It then moves into Meiji era naturalist sheets by Imao Keinen, whose refined studies of the natural world exemplify the period’s aesthetic. The selection concludes with later offset lithograph reproductions after Kuniyoshi, offering modern interpretations of his dynamic warrior imagery.
