Family BIO~

Homeowners, Bill and Mary were both born in Milwaukee Wisconsin, They met at the University of Wisconsin in the mid-1950s.

Bill went to Stanford University in Palo Alto to get his M.A. in Education. He then worked as a Teacher and Principal in the Inglewood Unified School District. He later worked as Principal in Rancho Bernardo in the 1970's and early 1980's. Mary was a school Teacher in Milwaukee and then later in Torrance California. They Married in 1957 and had 2 Children.  In addition to living in Torrance California, they also lived in Escondido, and then in 1984 moved to the House on "Diego" drive in Rancho Bernardo.

Bill died in 2013, and Mary has recently moved to assisted living.

After getting out of the Navy, Bill went to Jewelers school in Milwaukee in the late 1940's. In Jewelry School he learned to repair Clocks and Watches. Although he went into the Education field, he always had a life long interest in Clocks. Once he retired in 1982 he then went into clock repair full-time. He was a Representative for Ridgeway, Howard Miller, and several other clock manufacturers. His Collecting of Clocks goes back to the 1960's, and he kept many of his clocks repaired and running into the 1990's. There are several Antiques and Collectibles in this Estate that go back to the previous owner, "HUBERT WHITING".

In the early 1970's: Mr Whiting and his wife: moved from Wakefield Massachusetts to "Diego" drive in  Rancho Bertnardo. He was a highly regarded collector of antique toy banks. Some of the items that were from his Collection include, The painting of the Nightingale Clipper Ship, the Antique Coffee Grinder, and the Antique Pitcher with the Silver rim.
