Japantown is approximately ONE block away if you are wanting some great food and desserts!Parking will be limited street metered parking! Be prepared (for large items) to bring down to street, then pull-up to load where/when safe and not in the way of the public transportation thoroughfare. Meters run $1.50-$3.50 for one hour parking.
No stairs are involved, once you are in the lobby there is an elevator and front door of the estate is steps away.
