We are happy to bring you a really great sale in Lake San Marcos. The estate this week is for an extraordinary couple who traveled the world their entire lives. The gentleman was a Lt. Commander and the Lady was a travel agent in the 40’s – 60’s and later became a director for PBS Television. Their 3 bedroom home is filled to the brim with American and Asian Antiques including an 1870’s chestnut Victorian wash stand, 2 antique travel trunks, a gorgeous mahogany rocking chair, a cedar chest, a smaller Duncan Phyfe dresser cabinet, a wonderful double bench loveseat, an inlaid French sheet music stand, a mahogany secretary style drop front desk, a great phone stand and more ; collectables; Persian, Turkish and Oriental rugs (one 18’ x 12’); really nice costume jewelry, many with real gem stones; lots of books, many author signed; quality vintage furniture including a crescent shaped walnut desk with a leather top, a 40’s birds eye maple highboy/lingerie chest, 2 outstanding wooden folding poker/card tables with folding wooden chairs ; mid century living room and bedroom sets; solid oak claw foot dining table w/ pressed back chairs; solid oak turn of the century style china cabinet and buffet; vintage ladies formal ware and accessories; a Sleep Number full size bed; lots of antique and vintage décor items from all over the world, quality kitchen appliances; tools garden and tons more.
Due to the volume of the items, we only able to set up, photo and list about 50% of the sale. Watch tomorrow night (Wednesday) for the balance of the sale photos and details.
