Hollywood Hills Crystal Palace with a Silver Lining and a touch of Buenos Aires

Welcome to The Hunting Musketeers First Sale of 2017.

  You’ll be dazzled by the estate of this successful couple who lived all over the world from Argentina and Australia to Switzerland and Holland, finally settling in the United States.
  With a discerning eye for style and craftsmanship, they collected crystal and other unique collectibles  from every major company in the world, including Waterford, Limoges, Orrefors   Swarovski to mention a few.

The collection includes unique  objects  from unusual figurines, to whimsical sculptures and framed art to sophisticated  dining ware.
  They loved elegant clothing and there is enough to start a small vintage clothing store.
  Three walk-in closets are filled with elegant designer clothing both formal and casual, most in  dry cleaner company  plastic wrap.
 He had GQ tastes in his wardrobe and his shoe size was 9 1/2 and clothing, shirts and  pants 34 . There are also a number of leather jackets from Argentina.

There is Argentinian stuff like mates , rasta belts (gaucho belt ) ponchos , and the famous lamb jacket "Gamulan " who every argentinian has .
  They were very social and long time members of the   Del Rey Yacht Club. They were frequently seen at major art openings, charity fundraising events  and other social soirees.
 They cruised and shopped the world aboard their wonderful schooner, ( the Dutch Treat ) , filling their elegant home with paintings and trinkets from their travels.

He had his getaway  room, a man cave, complete with a large library and unusual items with 1960's radios, 40 calculators and a Hermes Hebrew typewriter, along with 25 Mid Century  phones, in different colors along with classic great audio gear and electronic audio gadgets.
 He loved trains  and there  are 3 train sets, plus  many new German built Marklin cars, still in their box, plus a complete Marklin set. He also had a Santa Fe Express boxed set,  plus  a number of Matchbox cars and Hot Wheels he helped his son collect.

 For avid golfers, there’s a partial set of Callaway Golf Clubs and accessories, plus pink golf balls, sealed in original boxes for his lovely wife.

 They were both winter sports enthusiasts, and for skiers and snowboarders  you will find a wide variety of gear for the snow, plus a few very old ski toys.

  His wife , who was an accomplished  artist herself,  who collected original works from  many of the countries she visited. These works are nicely framed and many are in ornate frames. For frog fanciers, there’s everything from 2 huge stuffed frogs to a large collections of smaller, very distinctive creations in porcelain, ceramic glass and metal.
There is also a wonderful small collection of fun seashell art .

 Her favorite destination was the Orient. In this house there are over 100 pieces of Chinese porcelain, with  Asian inspired furniture along with a wardrobe with reflecting those tastes and style. Many silk and most handmade .

   A 1950's Acorn gumball machine, antique Kämmer & Reinhardt 1930's sailor boy .(I think) no marks but has been repaired .

 Lots of kitchen kitchen appliances.  A solid silver set of flatware.

For those fascinated the Mad Man, TV style , there are many pieces including  unique bar ware, plus  classic a Coca Cola Mirror.

  He was a longtime member of the Masonic Society , so we have a large fez as he was a 32 degree member.

  There is also a World War One Argentinian officer's ceremonial sword along police academy dagger from circa  1912 to 1914, both with sheaf.

 2 large steamer trunks, 100's of hand tools and spare parts for the home and garden.

   As avid gardeners,  there are over 100 different large and small ceramic pots and planters, many painted.

   Over 100 dining ware and entertainment silver plated pieces,

   A 1994 Kawai, famed for its great sound, polished black ebony, baby grand piano, it is  in great condition. With a warm sound, this is the  perfect find for that discerning  pianist.
