Fantastic Fine Contemporary and African Art Liquidation!

The sale we have worked on for over two months is here!! (I have updated the photos to show what has been sold)This sale involves the sale of a wonderful collection of fine contemporary original art, sculpture, bas relief, in an array of genres, from figurative to abstract, whimsical, erotic, diorama, plein air, strange, etc. 

     There is also a nice selection of etchings, woodblock, and lithographs by some of the well known old masters. Names like Albrect Durer, Van Leyden, Cranach the Elder, and newer modernists like Picasso, Matisse, and Dali.                  Adding to this wonderful collection is a 25 year collection of African art, with an array of tribal masks, bronzes, figurative carvings, stools and benches, with almost all of it documented as far as region, tribe, and purpose of the object or mask.  Quite a fun exotic collection, I might add.                       Also in the collections are old Marvel hero original art from the 1980s, a small fine pipe collection featuring a selection of carved pipes by the famous carver Eyup Sabri, a collection of contemporary exotic perfume bottles, and throughout the home are fun discoveries; several hand made Persian rugs in various sizes, including a Hereke handmade silk rug, a custom boot collection, Italian sweaters, and  cashmere, Scottish cashmere, alpaca wool sweaters (all mens), exotic and fun clothing, belts, jackets, fantastic ties, Bruno Magli shoes, big selection of survival gear and tools, a truly cool designer King Size bed, nice book selection, household goods, etc.    Now, the reason for the appointment only routine. All of these collections are in a 3rd floor apartment, which makes it tricky to have a regular public sale. But we  are making this a public sale on Friday, and Saturday of this coming week. June 18th, and 19th. The times will be 10am-2 pm Friday, and 10 am to 3 pm  on Saturday (NO APPOINTMENTS NEEDED) Saturday will be  DISCOUNTING DAY!.
