Uncle Harvey loved to go to garage sales, yard sales and estate sales. He loved to barter.  But he loved to find items that reminded him of years gone by and times of memory.  It started out simply, with comic books and playboy magazines. ( Yes he was a normal boy in the early years) Cars were also one of Uncle Harvey's loves. He collected model cars of all types as well as trucks. Personally he only owned a few vehicles during his lifetime as he took such good care of them they lasted forever! But the toys, lined his shelves.

While in the U.S. Navy, Harvey picked up items while in the Pacific, including Japan. Mementos, if you will, simple souvenirs of his time away. They were a mixture of Navy Guide books and Japanese tea cups... And they lined his shelves.

Remember when school lunch boxes started to depict TV shows? Uncle Harvey loved those and would buy then whenever he could find them... And they lined his shelves.

In the 60's, his daughter loved to take bubble baths and the container of the month was Tweety Bird, or Sylvester or maybe even Barbie.  As the years went by the bubble bath bottles started numbering... And they lined his shelves.

And so it went...Yes he was a collector of lovely items and he loved to restore them to their Glory, often giving the item as a gift to someone fawning over it because they loved what he had done to fix it or make it pretty again. He was a kind giving man!

Uncle Harvey loved old things, things that he found tossed out, that he was sure he could could bring back to use as "nothing should be thrown away if it still has good use".  He would tinker and create and sure enough that thrown away statue became a lamp.  Wow! Uncle Harvey was repurposing and creating art before the trend ever hit. Some may have called him a Hoarder but he Collected "Good Junk" as he called it. And it all lined his shelves.

So we present to you Harvey's Attic, Cash Registers, Fans, Scales, Cameras, Tools, Radios, and other items.
