Two Handwoven Wool Rugs: A pair of handwoven wool area rugs. The pair includes a rug in a palette of tan, gray, cream, brown, rose, red, and slate blue, featuring a diagonal checkerboard pattern in the center, framed by a border of more squares and zig-zags . The short ends of the rug have double borders and stripes with geometric running patterns, and the ends are finished in tan fringe. No maker’s marks. The other rug has a center panel featuring two large diamond shapes, with smaller diamond shapes between, in a palette of ruby red, light green, blue and white. The center panel has a wide border, with light and dark blue geometric running patterns on a butter yellow background. The rug is finished on the short ends with intricate, woven lattice fringe, in a palette of brown, tan, blue and orange. No maker’s marks.Ikki Matsumoto Signed Pelican Serigraph: A signed, limited edition serigraph, depicting a pelican, by listed artist Ikki Matsumoto (Japanese-American, b. 1935). The serigraph depicts a pelican with stylized water, in a palette of soft gray-greens, gray, golden yellow, black and terra cotta. It is hand-signed in pencil to the lower right, “Ikki Matsumoto 227/750”, along with a red artist’s stamp. The serigraph is presented with a shell pink mat and glass in a green metal frame and is ready to hang.
