We offer entry on a first-come, first-served basis.
If there is a line, please honor it. Placeholders may be used in cases of inclement weather.
Most of our sales operate 8:00 am 3:00 pm. Come right in!
Parking may be tricky in some neighborhoods. Please be aware of parking restrictions and treat neighbors with courtesy.
Many item prices are listed on our bulk pricing signs around the house, next to each item. Clothing? We have a price sheet for that, and it's near the closet.
Other items have individual price tags. Our tags reflect the full 1st day price. Discounts are taken at the register.
ASK QUESTIONS! If you're not sure, just ask us. Explore the entire house, yard, garage, and outbuildings.
Immediately upon entering, you will see our checkout table and cashier.
When you find items you'd like to purchase, but you're still shopping, place them on our "HOLD" table or shelf (Located near our cashiers). Do not shop from the Hold Area.
If you want to purchase a large item that can't be moved to the Hold Area, ask a V.E.C. staff member for a "Sold" sign and let us know what item you're marking. This helps us to ensure that someone else doesn't try to buy it.
If an area is off-limits, we post signs to that effect. Please honor those signs.
Most homeowners do not want their restrooms used by the public, so please keep in mind that they will not be available.
Our company works for our clients and for our customers, too. As the estate liquidator, we are trying to do the best for the people who hired us and to price items affordably so they sell at a reasonable rate. V.E.C. researches all vintage, antique, and higher-end items in the home, and we are knowledgeable about their value. They are priced accordingly.
As a matter of policy, Vintage Estate Co. offers the following customer discounts for a 3-day sale: 1st day, full price; 2nd Day, 25% off; 3rd day, 50% off. Sales shorter than 3 days or longer than 3 days will receive different discounts.
Our sale hours and daily discounts are listed on a sign at the checkout area.
Some of our clients are open to us accepting bulk purchase deals and offering deep discounts on the last sale day. Some of our clients want to keep the leftovers from their estate sales. Ask us! We'll do the best we can for all parties involved.
Always leave a bid or offer on higher-priced items. We often accept the highest offer, even if it is below our asking price.
We accept cash and credit cards.
We do charge sales tax.
If you are a reseller, please have your tax-exempt number available and tell us before your purchase is completed.
We try to have boxes and packing materials available, but please bring your own if you're an enthusiastic shopper!
Please bring your own help for loading large items.
Delivery may be arranged for additional fees.
Please be reasonable and polite. Attendees are expected to treat others respectfully while in line and inside the sales site.
Attendees who do not conduct themselves appropriately may be banned from future sales.
Activity on sale sites before the sale may be considered trespassing. Don't walk around the property or look into windows. That's weird.
Vintage Estate Co. and the homeowner are not responsible for accidents on estate sale premises.
We ban and prosecute shoplifters and tag swappers.
Valuables are removed from the site during off-hours.
Online Auctions:
Terms:
These terms and conditions are a legally binding contract between you (the Bidder/Buyer) and Vintage Estate Company. By registering and bidding in this auction, you agree to and are bound by these terms.
If you have questions regarding a specific lot or item that affects your final bid, please email us at jessicamodeer@gmail.com, or call or text (719) 648-2425.
Item Descriptions:
Please remember that we have provided all the information in the description. We generally do not test items being offered. All items must be considered used or previously owned. We are working with an Estate, and the history of an item is usually unknown to us. We strive to represent the items as accurately as possible. It is the Bidder's responsibility to determine the acceptability of condition, age, genuineness, value, or any other determinative factor of all items. We do not guarantee any appraisals, gradings, or certifications. If you have any questions about the merchandise, please ask before bidding. Bidders shall be the sole judges of value. Items used in photographs for display are not part of the selling lot unless specifically listed in the description. If after reading the description and viewing photos, you still have questions, feel free to contact us.
Bid Carefully:
All items are sold as-is, where-is, with no warranty. All sales are final. When bidding ends on our website, and you are the winning bidder, you assume full responsibility for fulfilling your obligations under these terms and conditions. Once you place and confirm a bid on our bidding platform, you cannot remove or lower it.
Payment:
Within two hours after the auction closes, your credit card on file will be charged for the total amount due (hammer price + sales tax + buyer’s premium). The charges are not processed until the entire auction closes. By participating in this auction, buyers expressly agree that they will not “chargeback” or “deny” a credit card purchase. You will also receive a winning bidder email that lists your invoice (the item(s) you won, the hammer price, sales tax, and buyer's premium) and all necessary pick-up instructions. The only method of payment accepted is credit card via auto-debit at the close of the auction. This makes it easy to simply show up at the designated location and pick up your items.
Buyers Premium:
All Property offered at the auction is subject to a Buyer’s Premium in an amount equal to 12% of the Hammer Price, which will be paid by the buyer to the auctioneer for the auctioneer's own account. The Buyer’s Premium is earned by the auctioneer with the fall of the hammer and is non-refundable.
PICK-UP:
Full address and pickup time(s) will be provided on our winning bidders' invoices. Please ONLY bid if you can manage pick-up or have made other arrangements with us. If you do not pick up your items during the public pick-up date and time, or your personally scheduled appointment time, your items will be considered abandoned, and you will forfeit your entire purchase without a refund. Unless otherwise agreed, you are responsible for the disassembly, removal, and transportation of each that you purchase. Disassembly and removal must be done professionally. You must repair (to the satisfaction of the seller) or pay for damage to land or buildings, and/or other property caused by you or by your helpers.
Tax Exemptions:

Enter your TAX ID # and upload a copy of the certificate. We cannot refund sales tax.
SHIPPING:
If you require shipping, please email jessicamodeer@gmail.com. Shipping is available at the buyer's expense. We do not provide shipping estimates because shipping costs are determined once an item has been packed, measured, and weighed. Distance is also a factor. We use USPS and UPS. You may be required to arrange your own shipping with a carrier, such as a freight company, for large items. You will receive a separate invoice with shipping costs. You can expect up to 14 business days from the auction pickup date before you receive your shipping invoice. If your shipping invoice is not paid within 10 business days of the due date, your item will be considered abandoned and resold. If you wish to have additional insurance placed on an item, please notify us. Your shipping invoice will be sent separately to the email you have on file.
