Old and New: Three Generations of Treasures

This is a great estate, belonging to a single lady with good taste, who took care of her things! We couldn't ask for a better estate to present to you with Mother's Day around the corner!

Lots of high quality jewelry, furniture, porcelain, crystal, silver plate and sterling, antique books, electronics, decorative housewares. If that's all you need to know, come on over! If you want details, read on... we've got lots of those, too!

Ann was an active, passionate and loving person; when she passed away suddenly, it was a great tragedy for her family. Yet it left more than just an emotional, personal vacuum. Ann was the person in the family who took care of Grandma's and even great-Grandma's treasures. Many of these had been packed away for years. In short, the family barely knew about them, so nobody now feels an attachment to them.

Furniture, most in excellent condition: roll-top secretary's desk; antique oval gate-leg table; antique or vintage drop-leaf table (SILENT AUCTION item); hexagonal (almost triangular) mid-century table; newer cabinets; kitchen/dining room hutch; Ethan Allen glass-front china cabinet; pair of mid-century end tables; full-size bed (c. 1930); book cases; long blue couch (as is); newer Queen Anne-style entertainment cabinet; vintage round coffee table;  other vintage and antique chairs; other smaller tables.

Rugs: old and new, various sizes. All in very nice shape.

Lladro figurines: Boy and calf (pre-1960 incised mark); Boy and girl on seesaw (pre-1960 incised mark, SILENT AUCTION item); Valencia girl with oranges.

Artwork & Hangings: Original watercolor in outstanding (possibly antique) frame, "Campo di Fiore, Rome" (SILENT AUCTION item); one Audubon reproduction print; two Godey paper prints; two vintage samplers/needlepoints, pre-WW II; Earl Gross lithograph "Old North Church in Winter"; many prints and a couple of other original pieces, all in quality frames.

Exercise/health: PaceMaster Pro-Plus treadmill in great shape; ankle weights; small walking/lifting weights (up to 10 pounds per hand); Bollinger bench (bench only); Reebok step (step only); weighted vest; exercise mat.

Bedding & cloth: Vintage quilt, decorator pillows, various sizes of blankets, one sheet set.

Sterling: Oneida "Etruscan" flatware set (SILENT AUCTION item).

Silverplate: Gorham gravy boat; Hartford "Greek Key pitcher; Apollo pitcher, a few trays and dishes.

Decorative Housewares: Many candlesticks, candles, even candelabra; many quality lamps, including two Colonial Premier vintage floor lamps and one electrified hand-painted pink glass-base lamp; Capodimonte-style large floral centerpiece (SILENT AUCTION item); many high-quality Christmas items and wreaths; artificial flower arrangements (Ann did most of them herself) and more wreaths; two glass oil lamps (one in SILENT AUCTION); figurines by Robert Steele and others.

This estate has much more than your typical household items and occasional collectible or accidentally-retained antique. It has lots of nice silverplate but also Sterling. It has fine, older pewter. It has collectible books. It has DUCK DECOYS! The artwork is not spectacular, but nicely framed and classic. The household items include many candlesticks and nick-nacks (some definitely collectible!), and there are also some garden/plant items -- including some very nice house plants.

This is not a huge, sprawling estate, but it has some beautiful nuggets that you will not want to miss. Convenient to downtown Denver... so don't let anything hinder you from coming by!
