15 Year Collector Clearing Space For More Collecting. That's No Typo

Fifteen years of collecting has led to this.

A thinning of the herd.

There will be many true delights, including mid-mod lamps, vintage floor lamps, atomic starbursts, drinking glasses, highballs and lowballs, Pyrex — mostly singles, because apparently Pyrex also has commitment issues — vintage cups, drinkware, ashtrays, art, posters, paintings, embroidery art, quilts, and other evidence of a life spent saying, “Sure, I have room for that.”

And yes, in this case, the herd also includes records.

Lots of records.

Seventies rock, folk, and singer/songwriter vinyl. Five-dollar records. Real records. Records with feelings, sideburns, and cowbells.

Lots of cowbells.

Five bucks each. Some less. Never more.

Most are in decent shape. Scratches, but not divots. Infinitely spinnable, but not perfect. Perfectly playable, with the occasional snap, crackle, and pop.

They’ve lived a little.

Haven’t we all?

No Bing Crosby holiday albums.

No Herb Alpert Whipped Cream & Other Delights.

I’m not that kind of collector.
