The approximately six foot square rug features a blue-green center with three large geometric decagon medallions with a variety of differently shaped flowers and geometric patterns in the field. It has an unresolved leaf and calyx main border with a cream background. One flanking border has blue and cream pinwheels on an orange ground; the other has multi-colored flower motifs on a red background. The rug has hand-tied undyed natural wool warp. The rug appears to have been restored, with blanket stitching at the fringe ends to prevent further fraying.Pawel (Paul) Kontny Original Pastel Drawing of a Young Man: An original pastel drawing of a young man, by listed Polish-American artist Pawel (Paul) Kontny (1923-2002).
