A RARE Chinese blind stitch clutch, (previously owned by Mrs. Kovaur, wife of the Director of Colorado Board of Health and world traveler). Ms. Kovaur purchased this purse in France. SIDE NOTE: Creating the blind stitch is now outlawed in many countries, for it often caused the creator to go blind due to the minuscule stitches made by hand. A Mandralian style, Whiting and Davis mesh purse with rare spring loaded frame and clasp. Celluloid, hand tooled and painted small leather coin purse from the late 1900’s.
