Large Set of Japanese Narumi China Dinnerware: A 163-piece set of Japanese vintage Narumi China dinnerware. The service features white porcelain decorated with light and dark green bamboo, accented with gold luster. The set includes two lidded dishes, two creamer pitchers, two sugar bowls, two gravy boats, two small oval serving dishes, an oval bowl, twenty-four dinner plates, twenty-four bread plates, twenty-three salad plates, twenty-three soup bowls, eighteen small bowls, fourteen teacups, and twenty-four saucers. The set is marked “Narumi China – Japan”.Collection of Bronze Dragon Figures: A collection of seven Chinese bronze sculptures. The sculptures depict stylized animals resembling cats. They are made of bronze or bronze tone metal with a heavy applied oxidized green patina. Four of the sculptures come with rectangular wood bases. No signatures or maker’s marks.Vintage Mink Fur Coat: A vintage mink fur coat. The long coat has a rounded collar, long sleeves with cuffs, and hook fasteners up the front. It is lined in brown satin, and labeled “Made in Hong Kong”.Three Leather Frame Hand Bags: A set of three matching leather frame hand bags in three colors. Included are blue, brown, and black frame hand bags. All bags are marked “yfc” on the zippers. These handbags match the tote bags in this sale under number 17DEN121-009.Chinese Hand-Painted Wooden Box: A Chinese wooden lidded box. This vintage piece features hand-painted gold tone Chinese characters to the black lid and reddish-brown wood. The box has a decorative brass tone latch to the front and brass tone hinges to the back.Red Persian Rug: A handwoven Persian area rug. The rug features a center panel with staggered guls on a rust background, in a palette of black, orange, white and rust. The center panel is framed by multiple patterned borders with resolved corners. The two ends have wide borders with a small diamond pattern, and are finished with white fringe. No maker’s marks. The back side of the rug has a handwritten number along one edge “H 43141”.Set of Three Medallions Patterned After Ancient Chinese Coins: A set of three decorative medallions patterned after ancient Chinese coins. Each features raised characters to the edges, a square hole to the center and an applied green patina. No maker’s marks were found.Handwoven Turkish Rug: A handwoven Turkish area rug. The rug features Dyrnak guls on a rust colored background, in a palette of blue, light gray, taupe, cream and black. The center panel is framed by a floral border featuring cross-like flowers alternating with climbing vine motifs, and the corners are unresolved. The two short ends have borders similar to the guard borders, and are finished with white fringe. No maker’s marks.Mother of Pearl Inlay Chest: A vintage carved and inlaid wooden trunk with mother-of-pearl. The rectangular trunk or chest has a a hinged lid, which currently lifts off, and features relief carved leaf designs and geometric star motifs with white mother-of-pearl inlay throughout. The interior is stained a light pink color. No maker’s marks.Pair of Carved Rosewood Koi Fish: A pair of carved wooden koi fish. These pieces feature a textured scale pattern to the bodies, as well as ribs to all the fins and a rosewood finish. Each fish has white and black glass eyes set in the large round eye sockets. The sculptures are unmarked.Pair of Chinese Cloisonné Vases: A pair of matching Chinese cloisonné vases. The enameled design features lavender, blue, red and yellow floral and leaf designs on a white field. The undersides are enameled blue. Both vases have pierced wood pedestals. There is a red sticker on the underside of one vase with a gold butterfly marked “Beijing, China” (中國北京).Art Glass Kiwi Bird with Gold Tone Beak and Feet: An art glass bird figurine. This piece depicts a kiwi bird with a blue, black, and green hued glass body with an iridescent finish resembling a Pāua shell. The bird features orange-hued glass eyes with a long gold tone metal beak and gold tone metal feet. The underside of one foot is embossed “0K”.Vintage Oil Painting on Canvas of a City Street: A vintage oil painting on canvas of a city street. This piece depicts a crowd of people passing buildings in a city street, rendered in a vibrant color palette with expressive marks. The work is signed illegibly in paint to the lower right. It is presented in a wood frame with string for hanging to the verso.Brass and Copper Ceremonial Vessels from Mindanao: A pair of matching brass and copper ceremonial wedding vessels, or Gadur, from Mindanao. These tall cast brass and copper vessels feature highly ornate surface decorations throughout. The decorations include geometric patterns and sinuous floral patterns. The vessels have tall finials on the domed lids, with round bodies and bases. The metal is predominately brass, with accents in copper. The items are unmarked.Hand-Knotted Sino-Turkmen Area Rug: A hand-knotted Sino-Turkmen area rug. This wool rug, attributed to Chinese weavers, begins with a large concentric star medallion in sapphire over ivory amid a universal palette of ivory, sapphire, mauve, and black. The medallion is seeded with a small floret, which is enclosed in a rectangular frame of Chinese-style frets. The field is framed by a complex system of borders, most of which contain geometric patterns. These include horizontal panels above and below the field, each featuring a Turkmen-style lattice pattern. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with short kilim skirts and long ivory warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
