Description & Details
The Bagale Collection, Session II – Headgear & Memorabilia
345 Auction is honored to present Session II of The Bagale Collection, the lifetime collection of the late Dr. E. John Bagale, a respected Pueblo-area physician, historian, and dedicated military collector whose passion for history spanned decades.
This second session features an extensive selection of military headgear, historical photographs, photo albums, artwork, books, insignia, medals, field equipment, propaganda materials, and related memorabilia, with a strong emphasis on Imperial German and WWII-era material.
Collectors will find an impressive assortment of helmets, visor caps, officer and enlisted headgear, period albums, military photographs, artwork, historical reference materials, field items, and collectible artifacts. Many pieces have remained in long-term private ownership for decades and are now being publicly offered for the first time.
The Bagale Collection has been carefully cataloged using collector research, historical references, and consultation with experienced historians and collectors. Select lots may include accompanying research, provenance, period documentation, or collector notes accumulated during Dr. Bagale’s many years of collecting and study.
Of special note in this session are the period photograph albums and visual history materials, which provide a unique glimpse into the individuals, units, places, and events that shaped military history. These items offer collectors, historians, and institutions an opportunity to preserve and study original historical sources beyond the objects themselves.
