Our client’s parents had quite the life in their younger years!Their Father was a WWII Veteran on the USS Enterprise (CV6) from 1941-45.If your history is good that was the first ship to come into the harbor after the Japanese hit the fleet in Pearl Harbor. After the war he became a State Patrol Officer in Oregon & a Game Ward.In Colorado he built large conveyor belts for the mines. He was a inventor,engineer and a big executive for a mine until they bellied up.Also was the treasurer for the Elks Club for 20yrs and enjoyed the Broncos and Rockies.

Their Mother had a glamorous life also! She was a Barbizon model from 1945-52 in New York City. At one time she dated Herbert Von Schinkel (Apparent thrown to Sweden ,HRH) She also was a seamstress and designer. She enjoyed sewing and had a passion for clothes, jewelry, painting and stained glass works. She must of also enjoyed cooking and canning. Because we have tons of vintage cooking!She met her husband in Oregon and later moved to Colorado. They bought this home in the 50’s where they lived and loved a lifetime!

In that lifetime they had 3 Children. One a son(Michael Lowery-MHL) that has many talents also! And has a following.We will have many of his early art pieces for sale and his better half also is very talented to! She will have several paintings and pottery for sale also!

This is just a small bio. The home is full of wonderful memories and treasures.Hope you enjoy this estate as much as we have in staging and presenting this families estate to you.

Here is information from family about there loved one.

Jacob Oliver Siegmund, 11/06/1922 to 06/23/2016, served proudly on the USS Enterprise CV6 from early 1941 to 1945.

He boarded ship as a Seaman 1st Class and left his duty as a

Petty Officer 3rd Class (AM3)

This Collection contains 1 white and 1 blue “Cracker Jack” tops, Jacob’s Enlisted hammock in perfect condition with its canvas case, his graduation picture from “boot camp” in San Diego CA, his USN (United States Navy) dark brown issue suitcase, his Pea coat and his commemorative USS Enterprise CV6

cap we gave his last year for Christmas.

The USS Enterprise CV6 steamed into Pearl Harbor just after the Japanese attack on December 7, 1941.  She was put to sea immediately to avoid detection and to begin her career as the most highly decorated ship in US Naval history.  She was also the highest priority target of the Japanese military during WWII,

which she earned the name “Grey Ghost”.

 Jacob, while he trained and ranked as an Aviation Metalsmith, served primarily in the Starboard Bow, “Gun Bucket”, manning a 50 caliber machine gun defending the Enterprise against countless kamikaze attacks and dive bombings.  Jacob served with bravery and distinction in every battle the Enterprise participated in.  He earned a Presidential citation with the rest of his crew on the Enterprise for their bravery, sacrifice and success in battle.

As our dad, we are very proud of his service and the dignity and humility he shared with us in every way regarding his service to this great country and in life.  What a wonderful man.  We miss him.  We love him.  He is in our hearts.  What an honor to know him.
