Our auction site is designed to replicate a live auction and has what is known as a soft close. When bids are placed near the close of an item extra time is added to allow all Bidders a chance to win the item. If identical bids are placed on an item, the first person to place their bid will be awarded the item. However, this time is only 1 minute. It is better to place your max bid and run out of time during a bidding war.
Please read the pickup, payment, and terms and conditions before bidding. Please add our information to your contacts so our messages don’t go to your junk folder!
We hope you enjoy our auctions!
Payment Information
Invoices are emailed after the close of the auction as a reminder. The best resource to know if you have won is your “My Account” on CTBIDS. The website also has alerts which can send you emails of auction wins, outbids and more by text and email.
FYI - A 15% buyers premium and appropriate sales tax will be added to the winning bid amount.
To check out: Locate your invoice in the "My Account” area of the CTBids.com website. Go to Invoices -> Purchases -> Check Out button -> top of the invoice Check Out button again. Select PayPal or another payment option. Invoices must be paid by the deadline and claimed on pick up day or items will be considered abandoned.
Terms & Conditions:
1. Placing a bid is an agreement to purchase. If you are the winning bidder, you are committing to purchasing and picking up your item(s) or making shipping arrangements. Please do not bid if you do not plan to purchase.
2. If you bid, please ensure you understand the pickup and/or shipping instructions. Most auctions have a pickup day/time schedule and you must be available or arrange for the pickup of your item(s) on the scheduled pickup date/time unless you have contacted Caring Transitions of North Denver and Longmont to make shipping arrangements.
3. Bring necessary tools and help for picking up large items. Loading assistance is not available. Items could be located on a 2nd floor, basement, or out-building.
4. Invoices are emailed to winning Bidders once the auction has completely closed. We strive to send out invoices within 48 hours of the auction closing. Full Payment is due immediately upon receipt of invoice. You will have the option to pay with PayPal as the first option or use a Debit or Credit Card as the second option after you click to check out.
5. Failure to pay by deadline, pickup during the scheduled timeframe, or communicate immediately any issues your items will forfeited & resold to the next highest bidder. Additionally, your bidding privileges may be revoked. Let's communicate and make this a smooth transaction.
6. A $15.00 handling charge will be added to your shipping invoice for the initial lot and $2.00 for each lot after. If we offer a lower handling charge that will be communicated in the auction shipping details. Insurance will be added to any shipments that were invoiced with a total greater than $50.00.
7. All items must be paid for before they are picked up or shipped. If total payment is not received before the payment due date the item(s) will be forfeited and bidding privileges may be revoked. We may send out one reminder and provide a second chance for you to make payment; however, a second chance is not guaranteed.
8. If a pickup location is available, the exact address of the scheduled pickup will be on the invoice e-mailed after the auction closes.
9. All items not picked up during the scheduled pickup time will be considered abandoned and will not be shipped nor a refund given to you.
10. A 15% buyer's premium will be added to the final bid amount when invoiced.
11. We have made every effort to describe items as accurately as possible. Expect normal signs of wear associated with antiques, vintage, and used items. We do not list every flaw. All items are sold AS IS WHERE IS. No refunds or returns. Caring Transitions of North Denver and Longmont does not guarantee the working order of any clock, watch, electronic or mechanical device. Dimensions given may be approximate. Please carefully review the pictures and ask questions!
12. We are not professional jewelers or gemologists. Most of the jewelry items we sell are antique, vintage, and/or used. That means they had a life before we found them, and will show evidence of that previous life, signs of wear, dents, scratches, oxidation, broken stones, etc. We strive to be accurate and transparent in our descriptions of these pieces. Please thoroughly read the description and review the pictures before bidding. Feel free to email us with any questions. Due to the high quality of laboratory-made stones and the influx of faux jewelry we try our best to accurately describe the pieces in our jewelry lots but cannot absolutely guarantee authenticity. We do not perform any type of cleaning or polishing. If the item is oxidized when we acquire it that is precisely how you will receive it. Nothing is chemically tested or inspected by a professional jeweler. Precious metals are described as marked and are not acid tested.
13. Displays used in photographs are not for sale unless otherwise noted in the auction lot description.
14. Once an item has been picked up or delivered we are not responsible if it goes missing or is stolen.
Disclaimer:
Caring Transitions of North Denver and Longmont reserves the discretionary right to postpone or cancel any auction or listing without notice. Caring Transitions of North Denver and Longmont reserves the right to retract bids whenever necessary.
