Black Rock Galleries is pleased to present this Shelley and Art Deco Pottery auction, as part of a series of three auctions, taken from the lifetime collections of a renowned New York interior designer and decorating dynamo.  A gentleman in every regard, this designer put his remarkably unique touch on every object and room he encountered. From multi-million dollar sky-rise apartments to weekend country cottage retreats, his eye and attention to even the most minute details is evident.  

This collection reflects his passion for architecture, interior, and landscape design.  With tremendous pride in his personal collections and possessions, this gentleman’s estate demonstrates his flair for style, sophistication, sense of humor, and lively wit.  His decorating panache is evidenced throughout his collections from the smallest, yet truly outstanding decorative touches to larger, impactful statement pieces. 

His singular interests in modern/contemporary artwork, model cars, and Americana are evident throughout this auction series.  Every item offered in this lifetime estate assemblage is a slice of this gentleman’s vibrant and illustrious life and career legacy.
