Darien Treasures: 200 Lots of Fine Furniture, Original Art, Spode China, Kayaks & More

This auction features 200 items generously donated by Darien residents including kayaks, furniture, housewares, a special finds.

Furniture: a Baker bow front chest, a Century server and bar, a Maitland-Smith painted satinwood side table, Duncan Phyfe style pedestal dining tables, Chippendale and Queen Anne style chairs, and a mid-century Danish style curved sofa in bouclé. Original art includes four paintings of Long Island Sound by Darien artist Robert Johnson, framed photographs by Allen Angelbeck, and collectible prints by Argentinian artist Florencio Molina Campos.

For the table and kitchen: an extensive Spode Queens Bird collection, Villeroy & Boch, Pillivuyt and Apilco French porcelain, a Royal Worcester egg coddler, Kate Spade by Lenox wine glasses, and a set of Lucite barware.

Summer and sporting lots include Wilderness Systems and Perception kayaks, a Thule bike rack, Mavic wheels, Continental tires, and patio furniture ranging from a wrought iron dining set to a vintage French bistro table.

Rounding out the auction: Baldwin brass candlesticks, a Whitefriars paperweight, garden stools by Barclay Butera, costume jewelry, puzzles and games, and pet gear.

All proceeds support Scouting programs in Darien.
