Darien Finds: Extraordinary Furniture, Crystal & China, Collectible Comics, & More

Furniture: four signed Rockford black walnut pieces — Jacobean sideboards, a fretwork china cabinet with burl and Art Deco detail, and a dining table with six chairs. Plus Ethan Allen (Old Tavern Pine, mahogany, a sleigh bed), CB2 sofas and dressers, Pottery Barn seating, Crosley Griffith, and a Weber Genesis grill.

Glass and table: a substantial Val Saint Lambert group including a signed set of twelve crystal plates, American Brilliant cut glass, a Murano Barbini bullicante piece, signed Mack V. Delisle art glass, Wedgwood jasperware, Belleek, Coalport, Libbey, and a run of Lenox china hand-decorated with 24k gold. Also Tiffany & Co., Kirk & Stieff pewter, Wilton Armetale, Mikasa, and Restoration Hardware.

Collectible comic books: an unusual find — roughly twenty lots of 1980s and '90s titles held in quantity, many factory sealed with their original trading cards. Topps Bombast and Nightglider #1s (Jack Kirby, April 1993), Valiant runs of Bloodshot, X-O Manowar, Solar, and Archer & Armstrong (35 copies), Marvel Darkhold, Topps X-Files, and Dave Cockrum's The Futurians #1.

Rounding it out: a Yamaha YPG-225 Portable Grand keyboard, original art including two oils by Darien artist Robert Johnson and a signed John Stritch Tanglewood serigraph, lighting, camping gear from Exped and Coleman, Black Diamond and Petzl climbing harnesses, games, and a number of new-in-box items.
