Sale includes a 1972 Triumph Daytona T100R. Owner bought this bike about 9 months ago but never rode it. The following was the original description. 

This 1972 Triumph Daytona T100R is finished in blue and white and powered by a 490cc parallel-twin mated to a four-speed transmission. Equipment includes a two-up seat, a twin leading-shoe front drum brake, a chrome dual exhaust system, an Amal carburetor, and both center and side stands. The bike is said to have been kept in longterm storage before being acquired by the seller in 2024. This T100R is now offered at no reserve with a Florida title in the seller’s name.

The fuel tank and fenders were refinished in blue and white with gold pinstripes under previous ownership. Features include a two-up seat, black-finished side panels, and both center and side stands while brightwork includes the rear grab bar, headlight bucket, and mirror. The turn signals have been removed. Photos showing paint chips, rust on the chrome, and a torn fork gaiter can be viewed in the gallery.

Wire-spoke wheels measure 19″ up front and 18″ out back and are wrapped in Duro tires. Braking is from drums at both ends, the front of which features a twin leading-shoe design. Suspension consists of a conventional fork with black rubber gaiters as well as a pair of shocks mounted to the swingarm.

The chrome handlebar is mounted aft of a replacement grey-dial Smiths 150-mph speedometer, a matching 10k-rpm tachometer, and a collection of indicator lights housed in the headlight bucket. The five-digit odometer shows 8k miles, approximately 20 of which have been ridden by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.

The 490cc air-cooled parallel twin is equipped with a kick starter, an Amal carburetor, and a dual exhaust system with a crossover pipe. Factory-rated output was 39 horsepower. Service in preparation for the sale included changing the oil and replacing the battery.

Power is transferred to the rear wheel through a four-speed transmission with a right-side shifter as well as a drive chain.

The number XG41253T100R stamped on the engine case matches the number stamped on the frame, a photo of which can be viewed in the gallery. The current Florida registration lists the VIN as XG641253, with a “6” added before the serialized sequence.
