Terms & Conditions
1. Placing a bid is an agreement with our full list of Terms & Conditions. The link is provided above. By bidding, you acknowledge that you understand and agree with our Terms & Conditions and will follow our procedures for bidding, payment, pick-up, and shipping (if applicable).
2. Placing a bid is an agreement to purchase. If you win, you must pick up your item(s) or make shipping arrangements.
3. If you default on your purchase, your bidding privileges may be revoked permanently. Do not bid if you do not plan to purchase.
4. If you bid, you MUST be available, or arrange for, the pick-up of your purchases on the pick-up date!
5. Bring necessary tools and help for picking up large items. Loading assistance is NOT guaranteed.
6. Invoices are emailed to winning bidders once the sale has completely closed. The exact address of the scheduled pick-up will be on the invoice.
7. Full payment must be made by date/time listed on your invoice. You can pay via a PayPal account or on PayPal as a 'guest' with a major credit/debit card. Exceptions for paying cash on site will be made only if buyer contacts us in advance of pick-up date. To pay via PayPal please use the check out area on your invoice in the "My Account” area of the CTBids.com website. Go to Invoices -> Purchases -> Check Out button -> Check Out button again at the top of the invoice and choose PayPal sign in or select option below PayPal sign in to use a debit or credit card as a guest.
8. Shipping and Delivery: Shipping and delivery are available on all items at the buyer's expense if prior arrangements are made. Please refer to our Packing & Shipping Services link or our Delivery Services link for more detailed information.
9. All items must be paid for prior to pick up day (unless cash arrangements have been made). Any items not paid for (or no alternative payment arranged) prior to start of pick up day WILL be considered abandoned and resold. Bidder risks being banned for non-payment.
10. Missed pick ups: If your items are not picked up on the scheduled pick up date and time, and no prior arrangements for shipping, delivery or transport have been made, any items not picked up during the scheduled pick up time may be considered abandoned and may be donated or resold. No refund will be issued. We reserve the right to charge for a disposal fee for any items not picked up and left behind.
11. A 15% Buyer's Premium and 6.35% Sales Tax will be added to the final bid amount when invoiced. Resellers must provide resale certificate prior to auction closing so that tax may be removed.
12. We have made every effort to describe lot items as accurately as possible. Expect normal signs of wear associated with antiques, vintage, and used items. We do not list every flaw. All items are sold AS IS. No refunds or returns. Caring Transitions does not guarantee the working order of any clock, watch, electronic or mechanical device. Dimensions given may be approximate.
Our auction site is designed to replicate a live auction. When bids are placed near the close of an item, extra time is added to allow all bidders a chance to win the item. If identical bids are placed on an item, the first person to place their bid will be awarded the item.
