Description & Details
This is an interesting house in West Hartford with a variety of Antiques, collectibles and household owned by a teacher, painter and lover of poetry. We are offering the Hearthstone Phoenix 8612 Soapstone wood burning stove ahead of the sale, absolutely NOTHING else! The Hearthstone wood stove with soapstone is rated to heat 2,000 square feet and has an 8 hr burn, the owner (now 95 years old) bought it in 2000. It is dark navy blue enamel although the photos make it look lighter, and has heat retaining soapstone on the exterior. It is a really nice looking compact stove and would fit in with any style! It is in excellent shape and was used very little as it was owned by an elderly person. It comes with the stove pipe with thermometer in it, and an ash scuttle and shovel. We are asking $1200, they still make this model and it retails at $2895. You can call or text 860-558-9643 if you are interested in the beautiful stove. Serious inquiries please.
We are working the rest of the house, but so far there is Hitchcock furniture including a dresser/chest, 2 coffee tables, desk, end tables, set of 5 chairs and one that doesn't quite match, three antique Windsor birdcage chairs, an antique 2 drawer work table, antique butterfly table, antique dressers, Jamestown Furniture Feudal Oak bookcase, table and chair, sofas, chairs, rocking chairs. There are some antique paintings including a Frederick Matzow (Handel artist) large scene of Hubbard Park, a Waghorn oil of the seaside, a Bloodgood oil, and a SR Chaffee watercolor. Currier and Ives original prints, 2 small Wallace Nuttings, and other prints. 2 pairs of stilts and a weird pogo stick, a bunch of 1950's metal racks, bookcases, antique iron clothes tree, paint brushes and supplies including a 6 ft painting easel. Some antique dolls, a small amount of silver and jewelry. Old books, and lots of ephemera, old letters, diaries and journals, post cards, and historical items, some from the 1800's and most from the early 1900's. A lot of small collectibles such as sewing, tin match holders, fountain pens, an old metal bell collection, and more little case collectibles. The usual household stuff.
