Bids placed on the simsburyantiques.com website are a binding contract and you are responsible for paying all amounts due to Pickwick Papers Books & Antiques including sale price, buyer's premium and all applicable taxes. Please do not bid if you are unable to pay for and retrieve the items in the designated time period for each auction or estate sale. All sales are final. No returns, credits or exchanges. Failure to pick up items will result in forfeiture without refund.
All items are sold as is where is. We try to describe items to the best of our ability. We may not test items as to the working condition and do not guarantee that items work. Items that we sell are mostly used, vintage or antique and will have appropriate wear. We will describe any visible major damage.
PICK UP Location: 244 Farms Village Road Unit M, West Simsbury, CT. CURBSIDE PICK UP for smaller items. Larger items require entering the location with a mask. Please bring boxes, packing material and helpers necessary to get your items to your vehicle.
We are not responsible for accidents.
Shipping available on smaller items, please email us before bidding to check if we can ship the lot. PLEASE NOTIFY AUCTION MANAGER Before final pick up day if you need your order shipped. Shipping costs are actual shipping cost plus $6 handling and supplies fee on the first lot and $4 on each additional lot. Larger items ( generally any side over 20" ) that require us to purchase a box will be billed as other lots PLUS cost of box or will be packed & shipped via UPS . Insurance and signature verification required on lots shipped that sold for over $200.
Buyer’s premium of 15% and CT sales Tax of 6.35% will be added to the hammer price. If you have a resale certificate, no tax will be charges if you provide us with a copy before the end of the sale.
