Remaining contents from former Ambassador to Togo.  Previous State Dept. posts he held were from the 1950's through the early 1970's in Congo, Lagos, Nigeria, & Upper Volta.  He participated in the Jerusalem Sinai Mission 1975-77 & the Eqypt Mission 1979-1982.

NOTE!  Stone steps lead up to the entry door of home.  Steps are high and uneven.  WATCH YOUR STEP & take your time.  Once inside,  there are 4 floors to explore.  Once again, PAY ATTENTION!

SALE is scheduled to four days!  Thursday through Sunday.

LAST MINUTE FIND :

An approx. 12' long X 7' wide 37 star American flag with some holes, losses & repairs. This flag was made between 1867 - 1876 by the Annin Flag Co.  If you choose to handle it, do so very carefully & TAKE YOUR TIME!. No one wants further damage to this item.  This will be for sale by sealed bid until noon on Saturday, April 30.  [Agent may reject or accept the best bid.]

DECORATIVE ACCESSORIES:

  • Exceptional 53" & 49" carved Baga, Guinea (Africa) male & female figures.  I believe one is a Nimba shoulder mask & the other a Guardian figure. Sold with their pedestals to make an excellent sculptural display in your home.
  • African carved wood boxes covered in leather (Tuareg)
  • African masks, including one with inlaid Cameroon coins.
  • African figures, animals of all sizes, wood & metal.

  • Tiffany sterling 4 pint hot water kettle on stand. Tiffany mark for 1907 - 1947, but this mark has a T, not an M.  This might have been during the directorship of Chas. Tiffany, (1892 - 1902).  Pattern 8446 was from 1885.
  • Tiffany 10 sterling dinner forks & 9 sterling oval soups English King pattern. monog R
  • Sterling flatware various traditional patterns, many turn of the century, odd pieces and groupings. Holloware-- small sterling items.
  • Sterling sauceboat, c. 1924, Mappin & Webb; Sterling creamer, 1759.
  •  Sterling Tiffany Richelieu pattern serving fork.  And a special Tiffany spoon 1872 Vine pattern.

CHINA/ GLASSWARE:
