Description & Details

Savvy is heading to the Chevy Chase neighborhood in Northwest DC, near the intersection of Oregon Avenue NW and Military Avenue NW, for a sale this weekend featuring an impressive collection of 18th- and 19th-century items.

Even if you aren’t a collector, this home is the perfect place to find unique pieces that will become conversation starters in your home.

It is hard to overstate the diverse and deep selection of Victorian and Edwardian collectibles; it is unlike anything the Savvy Team has seen before in one sale, including:

  1. Toys such as Palmer Cox Brownies; Britains Zoo, Circus, and Garden cast lead toys; penny toys; cast iron banks; Punch and Judy dolls; various jumping jacks; carnival canes; as well as lithograph pails and collectible tins.
  2. 18th- and 19th-century teethers, rattles, and whistles made of sterling silver, coral, and mother-of-pearl.
  3. Miniature items ranging from a delightful assortment of boxes, matchboxes, matchstick holders, and animal figurines.
  4. Victorian and Edwardian purses designed for coins, handkerchiefs, and calling cards, many made from beaded and mesh materials.
  5. A wide selection of Victorian birdcages.
