Savvy Downsizing & Estate Sales
Description & Details
Starting Friday, join Savvy for a three-day estate sale in the charming Cathedral Heights neighborhood of Washington, DC.
This unique home, once inhabited by two journalists—one from the LA Times with a journalistic and literary family legacy and another from the Washington Post—offers a glimpse into a life filled with stories and travel, including a chapter in Brussels during the 1990s opening a bureau for the LA Times.
Explore an extensive collection of contemporary, vintage, and antique books across the home’s three levels. Categories include fiction, nonfiction, cookbooks, decorative arts, American history and politics, children's literature, leather-bound volumes, and first editions. The sale also includes a wide selection of sheet music and songbooks featuring everything from classical to musicals.
Discover an array of antique and vintage fashion jewelry from makers like Krementz, Trifari, and Miriam Haskell. You'll also find unique vintage Navajo and Hopi items, Danish and Mexican sterling silver jewelry, and a large selection of gold brooches and pins will be available.
The spacious kitchen and butler’s pantry are filled with quality kitchenware, baking essentials, china, glassware, barware, and crystal, for both everyday use and special occasions. You will also find European cotton, linen and lace linens.
The home includes traditional furniture, rugs, art pieces, and varied lighting fixtures. And for music lovers, a grand piano awaits.
We look forward to seeing you there!
