DESCRIPTION: artist works with various media, such as painting, sculpture, and ceramics. She creates abstract compositions that draw inspiration from nature, architecture, and everyday imagery. She uses lines, shapes, forms, and colors to create visual contrasts and associations She often incorporates elements such as birds, boats, seeds, circles, and ladders that have symbolic meanings related to communication, journey, renewal, wholeness, and spirituality. The painting is framed in a dark wooden frame and signed by the artist in the lower right corner.
CONDITION: very good condition. PROVENANCE: the artist; to present owner
ACQUISITION, COST, DATE AND SOURCE: The piece was purchased through the interior designer when the spaces were decorated in 2002. Possibly a direct commission from the artist as per Silvia from Americas Collection. This is not a common format created by the artist. I contacted the artist and she confirmed it is not not her most used format.

It is a spiral-shaped shell with a brown, ochre, orange and white pattern. The shell has a glossy surface, pearlized in some areas. This sea shell belongs to the family Turritellidae, which are marine gastropods with elongated, turreted shells. The specific species of this shell is Turritella communis, also known as the common tower shell. The photo is covered with a protective clear wrapped-around, not identified contact paper. CONDITION: overall in very good condition. Colors are bright; surface is clean. There is no significant scratches or nicks. Support in good condition. The background is a textured beige-gold, rust, gray difused colors with a large circular shape in the lower left half. The circular shape is composed of different elements, including stamped spirals and juxtaposed squares. Also, there’s 3 different leave impressions scattered throughout the piece.
