Port Malabar Country House & Home Sewing Factory

This sale features a large country house situated on two acres of land just west of Valkaria Airport and it is furnished with heavy solid wood quality rustic furniture by Bennington Pine of Vermont and other vintage  solid wood American furniture along with the equipment, inventory, contents and products of an entire professional home sewing factory with closets, drawers and armoires filled with ladies garments, hand made table cloths, curtains, bed covers and colorful hand knitted throws. There are also three sewing machines including an antique Singer treadle machine which is still operational and in use and a heavy commercial machine for stitching leather and heavy borders. There are also display cabinets full of fine bone china, a beautiful office desk and every type useful quality furnishings for the dinning room, bedroom and den including very clean recliner sofas and chairs which were always kept covered.  There are also the usual kitchen ware, household and kitchen supplies, cooking spices, patio tube furniture, a refrigerator, lawn tractor and garage tools and much more.

A small quantity of costume jewelry will be for sale along with some oddities such as two large antique lanterns from an old steam engine train and a birthing stool. There is some wall decor and art including a large original oil painting of a green woman in the nude.

Note: Some of the pieces of hand made furniture and a set of very unusual hand carved jade dragon lamps which were acquired and brought back from trips the owner made to Africa and Asia.
