No checks please, cash and credit cards (gladly accepted on purchases over $25 with no additional charge to the customer. We now take credit cards on purchases below $25 with a 3% service charge. Neither Ortega Trading Company nor the property owner are liable for accidents or injuries. Entrance onto this private property is at your own risk. Regard all restricted areas and understand that if you choose otherwise, you will be asked to leave. All sales final and items are sold as is, where is. You are responsible for thorough inspection of your intended purchases prior to final sale. We may require you to schedule pick up and move of large furnishing and rugs in non-peak times or after sale hours. No large bags, food or drinks and please, please no pets. We love our furry friends but have carpets and fine furnishings. Please bring help to move large items. We have an authorized moving contractor that can be scheduled for a fee. Thank you in advance for coming, shopping and respecting our terms. A sign-up sheet for entry to the sale will be put out in front of the property at 5 PM that evening prior to the sale. OTC reserves the first 10 spots for the property owners, their friends and family, consigners and consultants. However, all ten spots are rarely filled.

- There is so much here to buy, I added an extra day. Still, I hesitate to say this isn't a "usual" Ortega Company Sale...because it will be the clean, organized, friendly and well priced event you have come to expect. This is a spacious, modest home in a charming Argyle neighborhood that has been purchased by an investor. There are some quality antiques, yes. There are vintage treasures, as usual. And there are unique AND practical finds priced to sell. But I have NEVER encountered this amount of collectibles in one place. Jay has practically had me breathing in a paper bag as we move in EVERY SINGLE shelving unit and school table and card table we can own or borrow and swears I wake up at 3:30 every morning screaming, "THERE IS NO WAY TO STAGE THIS HOUSE". So here is the deal...it is a finish your collection, stock your booth, fatten your eBay inventory, buy Christmas presents for everyone you know for the next five years kind of sale. THERE ISN'T ANY CONSIGNMENT HERE...everything belonged to the homeowners and a grandmother who jumped the Buckman for a simpler, paired down life in Mandarin. Life long collectors and estate sale shoppers, I cannot begin to describe the range of what they loved...price wise or by category. Plus it is the home of a stage performer and her wigs, dresses, hats, shoes and costume jewelry only hint at the expanse of her personality! Plus, these ladies owned Sisters Tea Room and there is plenty to remind you of good times there! I will start posting pictures tomorrow. Please bear with me and do come...if you can't find SOMETHING to buy here, you should probably reconsider estate sales all together
