Over the top neo-classical motif chased and repousse finial and body. Finial of Lapith man battling a centaur, body with feast or wedding scene, entire scene may be inspired by the Centauromachy. Marked on base with Department of Arts & Sciences, Elkington, VR cypher. Also stamped Elkington. Overall measures 19'' h. x 10''.
CONDITION: Loss of plate and finish.Lot 1020:  SYMPHONION COIN OPERATED MUSIC BOX: Double comb, plays 10 3/4'' discs. Walnut case with burl veneer and original Symphonion lithograph insert. Combs marked Shutz Marke, Trade Mark, Made in Germany, serial number 314136. 10 Centimes coin mechanism has been disabled and now free plays. Sold with 17 discs. Measures 11 1/4'' h. x 17 1/2'' x 13 1/2''.
CONDITION: Currently spins and plays, however occasionally stutters and no stop mechanism. Wear to case and insert. Please call for more condition issues.Lot 1015:  HIGH VICTORIAN MAHOGANY BOW FRONT CHINA CABINET: Carved all over, top with foliate crest and 4 ball finials. Beveled glass door and sides, 4 full column supports, lower carved panels. Upper interior with mirrored back, glass shelves, lower storage. 4 carved and turned legs. Measures 65'' h. x 44 3/4'' x 20 1/2''. Est. $800/1200**Lot 1019:  19TH C DUTCH MARQUETRY INLAY SECRETARY ABBATANT: Profusely decorated all over with floral marquetry inlay. CONDITION: Loss of inlay and veneer. Will require some cosmetic restoration.Lot 1024:  CHIPPENDALE MAHOGANY SETTEE & 2 CHAIRS: 3 richly carved pieces to include 1) Triple back settee with carved foliate scroll motif, shaped arms and supports, carved cabriole front legs. Mustard yellow upholstery. 35 1/2'' h. x 50 1/4'' x 25 1/2''. 2-3) Matching arm and side chair, arm measures 36'' h. x 27 3/4'' x 25 1/2''.Lot 1027:  MEIJI PERIOD JAPANESE BRONZE ELEPHANT & ATTACKING TIGERS SIGNED: A finely detailed and emotive sculpture depicting a large and muscular elephant's plight being under relentless attack by two aggressive tigers for predation. CONDITION: Several small flecks of paint loss, very good overall.Lot 1035:  EARLY PAINTING OF ST ANTHONY OF PADUA: Oil/Chamfered Wood Panel, 12 1/2'' x 9 5/8'', no visible signature, encased in an architectural motif gilded and carved frame 17'' x 14 3/4''. Est. $3000/5000**
CONDITION: There is scattered flecking and some areas of uplifting of the paint, needs cleaning, and some restoration, sold as is.Lot 1038:  WAGNER, Eugene, (German, 1871-1942): Diana, The Huntress on a Magnificent Steed Aiming her Bow, Dore Bronze, 17'' h. x 16'' w. x 5 1/4'' d., incised signature to base, mounted on a multi piece marble plinth, overall height 23''h. x 18''w. x 7''d. CONDITION: There are several flea bites to the plinth but it is good overall.Lot 1041:  PAIR PROFUSELY CARVED ORIENTAL DRAGON CHAIRS: Carved all over with full figural dragons at top crest and arms. Back with foliate and floral motifs, shaped fluted seat. Front with masqueron under seat, ending in paw feet. 60'' h. x 34 1/2'' x 25 3/4''.
CONDITION: Dragon on arm missing an eye. Other wear consistent with age and use.Lot 1047:  SILVER GILT CARVED WOOD BUDDHA: Embellished with mirror dots. Approx. 4.5 ft tall, overall.Lot 1051:  SWEDISH PAINT DECORATED CORNER CABINET: Profusely paint decorated with floral motifs. Shaped top over 2 open sections, top section with 2 additional doors. Keys in office.Lot 1227:  JERE JUSTIG ART MODERNE TAMBOUR CABINET/BOOKCASE: Made in Chicago by artist Jere Justig (family estate provenance). An exquisite design, beautifully functioning tambour cabinetry. Justig was so meticulous he was known to fold his garbage. Top section with 2 patterned glass doors and shelves.
