CONDITION: Several scattered spots of inpaint, good overall, ready to hang.Lot 1033:  ROETTER, Paulus, (German-American, 1806-1894): Panoramic River Valley Painting with Mountains in the Distance with City on the River, Cattle, Goats, & Figures Scattered Throughout, Oil/Canvas, 24'' x 32 3/8'', signed lower right, encased in a carved and gilded impressionist frame with wear 29 1/2'' x 37 1/2''. Roetter worked in Switzerland until 1845, when he emigrated to the United States, and eventually settled in St. Louis. ''The Matterhorn'', an oil on canvas he did in 1860 is on permanent display at Saint Louis University. Through George Engelmann, a physician and botanist, Roetter became interested in natural history, and produced a large number of drawings of biological specimens. Some of Roetter's original drawings are in Shaw's Museum and ''recognized by authorities as being among the finest ever made.'' He was well regarded for being one of the top botanical illustrators of his generation, with many of his pictures reproduced in reference books. Est. $5000/8000**

CONDITION: Several minor pin holes, some stretcher bar wear and some depressions, could use cleaning.Lot 1038:  ART DECO PLATINUM DIAMOND AND RUBY BRACELET CA. 1930'S: Quintessential design and style in this platinum bracelet. 54 round shaped native cut rubies total approx. 18.90 Ct., average VS clarity and 3-4 saturation. Diamonds include 7 marquise brilliant 46 baguette and 302 round full cut all totaling approx. 14 Ct., averaging VS-SI in clarity and G-H-I color. Rubies are prong set, diamonds are bead, channel and prong set. Note the fine detailing of the clasp also covered in diamonds. Length 6 5/8''. Weight 58.6 grams. Sold with current Atlanta Gemological GIA graduate's appraisal for $62,550.
